The National Information Technology Development Agency - NITDA under the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy recently announced open scholarship to train 30,000 Nigerians as Blockchain Developers powering next generation of data and to possess the right skills to become professionals in the blockchain industry.
Announcing the scheme in partnership with Domineum Blockchain Solutions, the Blockchain-day of “Digital Nigeria” event held on the 26th of October 2022, Kashifu Inuwa CCIE, the Director General/CEO of NITDA said that the scholarship will help to “accelerate blockchain adoption in Nigeria and make Nigeria a global player in the blockchain industry”.
The 12- Week program will consist of 7 weeks course delivery and 5 weeks project periods. Course delivery will be through a hybrid of online classes and physical meetups in all the states of the federation.
Outstanding teams in the project phase stand the opportunity to join an incubation program in London while others will be exposed to the BSV Ecosystem where they can be involved with various projects.
As application opens on Monday, October 31 2022, the course will start on Thursday, December 1, 2022. The deadline for application is Monday, November 28, 2022.
